St Simeon monastry
Toilets
Camels and Aswan viewed from monastry.
My ride for the day.
Giza job?
Old Aswan Dam (1898 - 1902 AD!)
Boat to Seheyl Island.
Inscriptions on the rocks at Seheyl Island.
I think this is the 'famine stele' from the Ptolemic period, recounting a 7 year famine during the reign of Zoser (2667 - 2648BC).
Walking back down with Nubian Village in background. One of the only villages that didn't have to move after the dam was built.
About to be rowed back again.
A 'fiteer' Egyptian pizza.
A fruit fiteer that did not survive my rucksack.
